I can’t believe it’s week 4 already of the One Room Challenge. To recap, Week 3 was a BUST! Well not a total bust. The wallpaper went up, the work on the new stair railing started, but none of these projects got completed. Aye yae yae.
I love the wallpaper. It’s brings such feminine fun to the entryway. I’m just sad I could not complete this project. This removable wall paper is easy to work with. I didn’t have problems until I needed to go around the corner. No matter how hard I tried, I could not get the wallpaper to line up straight. I ended up removing the entire piece, but it got stuck to each other. It was so bad it left wrinkles in the wallpaper and it did not look good. So, I ordered another roll and just my luck, the delivery was delayed. So I hopefully I can complete it this week.
I was so excited when I tore down that old stair railing. It was clunky, janky looking and not properly installed. Now, I have a 4×4 post, which is slimmer, that fits with the overall feel of the new entryway. I decided to go horizontal with the railing instead of vertical. I still have to install the cable railing and paint the wood. Again, another project I hope to complete this week.
Even with these set back, and not completing Week 3 To Do List, I’m still happy with how this entryway is turning out.
